Thing #29: Tinicum Rear Range Lighthouse: Paulsboro

by Matt Moxhay on May 16, 2010

Originally built in 1880 as a set of 3 Lighthouses, called a “Triangulated Range,” this is the last remaining Lighthouse of the set.  What’s interesting to me, is that the Lighthouse now stands amongst a sports complex!

There are tours every 3rd Sunday of the month from April through October.  You can check out their scheduled dates here.  From what I’m told, if you’re able to climb to the top of the Lighthouse, you’ll be treated to some awesome views of Philadelphia.

For more information, feel free to visit their web site.

The Tinicum Rear Range Lighthouse is located on 2nd Street in Paulsboro.
