Thing #137: The Princeton, Avalon

by Matt Moxhay on September 1, 2010

I can’t believe summer is almost “officially” over.  The resistance to let summer go brought me back to the shore in search of a “thing to do.”  The relief that the kids will be back in school had me thinking of something to do for “adults.”  That combination brought me to The Princeton in Avalon.

According to their Facebook page, “The Princeton is a family owned restaurant and bar that has had a presence in Avalon, NJ for multiple generations.“  That just makes me wonder how long it’s been around: I couldn’t find any history about the place on their web site.  There seems to to be an outlet for everyone to enjoy at The Princeton with it’s three distinct areas: the Circle Tavern, the Rock Room and the Princeton Grill.

This coming Labor Day weekend they’ll have live music and DJ’s every night, check out the line up here.

The Princeton is located at 2008 Dune Drive in Avalon and they can be reached at 609-967-3456 for more information.

How about you?  When you’re looking for some grown up fun at the shore, where do you like to go?

Have a great day exploring your world!
